Your internet provider stops at the box. We start there.
You pay for fast internet, but dead zones, dropped video calls, and a router nobody has updated in years are holding it back. We find the problems, fix them, and leave you with a network you own.

Where your provider's help ends
The "demarc" (demarcation point) is the box where your internet provider's responsibility stops, usually your modem. Coverage, speed in each room, and security after that box are left to you.
Renting from your provider
"Managed Wi-Fi" or mesh pods as a monthly add-on. Convenient, but you never own it, you get little control, and the bill never ends.
Owning your network
Equipment that's yours. Strong Wi-Fi in every room, every device visible, smart devices kept separate, and no rental fees.
Assess. Fix. Stay covered.
No guesswork and no upselling. You get the facts first, then decide what to do.
Assessment
About two hours on site testing every room, checking your security settings, listing every device, and testing your wiring. You get a clear written report within two business days.
Your choice
Fix things yourself with our step-by-step instructions, have us handle a few quick repairs, or let us build a whole-home network. Every option is priced in your report.
Peace of mind
An optional Care Plan keeps everything updated and monitored, and puts you first in line when you need help.
A 500 Mbps plan isn't 500 Mbps in every room
Same house, same internet plan. The only thing that changed is what's after the demarc.

Guest Wi-Fi at the boathouse? We got it.
Finger Lakes hosts live and die by reviews, and "the Wi-Fi didn't work" is one of the fastest ways to lose stars. We set up rentals so guests get strong Wi-Fi everywhere they go, and you can manage the place from home.
Boathouse, dock & outbuildings
A wireless bridge carries your internet to the boathouse, dock, garage or guest cottage, with an outdoor access point at the far end. No trenching needed.
Guest Wi-Fi done right
A separate guest network, so guests never see your cameras, locks or owner devices. Easy to change the password between stays.
Keyless entry
Smart locks with a unique code for each booking, so there are no lockboxes and no lost keys. Codes can be set to match your booking calendar.
Leak, freeze & power alerts
Sensors that text you about a leak, a furnace failure, or a power outage, before a seasonal home turns into an insurance claim.
Thermostat between stays
Set it back automatically after checkout and warm it up before check-in. Lower energy bills, comfortable guests.
Remote care, all season
We watch the network, apply updates, and fix problems remotely, often before your next guest notices. Priority help in peak season.

Quick fixes to complete smart homes.
Not ready for a whole new network? Most fixes take a single visit. And a solid network makes smart-home automation reliable.
Security tune-up
Passwords, firmware, guest and smart-device networks, all locked down properly.
Ethernet wiring
New Cat6 runs for desks, TVs, and access points, plus repairs to existing jacks.
Mesh Wi-Fi setup
When running new cable isn't practical, we install and tune a mesh system the right way.
Smart Home Starter
Thermostat, smart lock, 4 smart switches, and a hub, all working together in one app.
Cameras & doorbells
Wired cameras on their own network, recording at home instead of in someone else's cloud.
Home Assistant & scenes
Lighting, climate, leak alerts, and "goodnight" scenes that run locally in your home.
What happens to your smart home when the internet goes out?
Many cloud-based systems stop working. We design for local control, so lights, locks, and alerts keep working even when your provider is down.
Set it and forget it.
We watch your network so you don't have to. Cancel anytime, and you always keep full control of your own equipment.

Who's coming to your house
After the Demark is a local, owner-run business. The person you talk to on the phone is the person who shows up, tests your home, and writes your report.
I started this because I kept seeing the same thing: people paying for fast internet, getting a fraction of it in the rooms they actually use, and being told to rent another box. I'd rather explain what's going on, fix it properly, and leave you with equipment you own.

What is the "demarc"?
The demarcation point, or "demarc," is where your internet provider's responsibility ends, usually at the modem or the box where the line enters your home. Everything after that (your router, Wi-Fi, wiring, and devices) is up to you. That's where we come in, hence the name.
What area do you serve?
Elmira, Corning, Horseheads, and the surrounding Southern Tier, plus the Finger Lakes: Watkins Glen, Seneca Lake, Hammondsport, Keuka Lake, Penn Yan, and nearby. If you're a little outside that, call or text and ask.
Can't my internet provider fix my Wi-Fi?
Your provider makes sure internet reaches the modem. They usually won't fix coverage, wiring, or security inside your home, and their answer is often to rent you another box. That's why so many people pay for fast internet and still have slow Wi-Fi in the bedroom.
Will this work with my current internet provider?
Yes. We work after the demarc, so your existing internet service stays exactly as it is.
Do I have to replace all my equipment?
No. Many homes only need better placement, one extra access point, or a separate network for cameras and smart devices. The assessment tells you exactly what's worth doing.
Do I have to hire you after the assessment?
No. The report is yours to keep, with DIY fixes and priced options. If you do hire us within 60 days, the full assessment fee is credited toward the work.
What's the difference between the Checkup and the Assessment?
The $99 Wi-Fi Checkup is a quick 45-minute visit focused on your problem rooms, with findings explained on the spot. The full Assessment covers every room, your security settings, every device, and your wiring, and comes with a written report and priced options. If you start with a Checkup, the $99 is credited toward the full Assessment.
Omada or UniFi: which should I choose?
Both are excellent, business-grade systems. Omada (Essentials) gives you the same core features for less. UniFi (Pro) has a more polished app and lets you add cameras and door access on the same system. We'll recommend one based on your home and budget.
Do you work on Airbnbs and vacation rentals?
Yes, and especially in the Finger Lakes. We cover outbuildings and docks, set up a guest network that's separate from your own devices, add keyless entry and leak or freeze alerts, and can monitor the property remotely during the season.
Do you work with renters?
Yes. Many improvements, like better placement or adding an access point, don't need permanent changes. If something would, we'll talk about it first.
Will you put holes in my walls?
As few and as small as possible. Most cable runs drop down from the attic. Any access holes we make are patched and left ready to paint.
Do you keep access to my network?
Only if you join a Care Plan, and you can remove it anytime. At the end of every job you get every admin password. It's your network.
How do payments work?
Assessments are paid at booking. Small repairs are paid on completion. Whole-home projects are 50% at signing (which covers equipment), 40% after the cabling is done, and 10% at the final walkthrough.
